If you wish to cheat, you can buy pickpocketing. Note that, unlike most other items, pickpocketing is not available to characters below level 10. You can also buy the item with the currency value of your pickpocketing skill.
When you steal a shiny object, you are actually stealing Gold from your target. The amount of Gold is determined by your pickpocket skill and the value of the object you are attempting to steal. There are two weight limits, one for losing the item and one for the gold. The Gold limit is capped at 5.00; the weight limit at 5.00. At a pickpocketing skill of 5 and higher, you can steal 5.00 of gold with a weight limit of 5.00. At a pickpocketing skill of 6 and higher, you can steal 5.00 of gold with a weight limit of 7.00.
Pickpocket Weight: Pickpocket has a weight limit of 40 gold. This is the amount you can steal. THe higher the weight, the higher chance you get to steal. You can steal more than this, but you have a chance to get caught (100% chance).
Before you are allowed to pickpocket another character, you need to have a high enough Pickpocketing skill so that you can check if they have anything in their inventory. Pickpocketing the target will only reveal the amount of gold (weight) and any equipped items (equip).
Hi, you can download the full version of Hocus Pocus from the download store listed below. If you buy a game you don't only get the full version game, you also support DOS Games Archive. For every sale we receive a small fee from the download store which helps us to keep this free website alive. Thank you and have fun!
With this method you can add as many tiles as you want. If you need to create a custom tileset for a game, in addition to this guide, you can always generate new tileset from scratch with the Tiled Editor (see the link at the beginning of the post) and then you will be able to use it in Hocus Pocus.
The code is written in C (and it is in fact a very simple game if we consider the size of the game engine). I need some time to rewrite it in C#. Then I will post it here or just upload it to my blog (if you can't be bothered to download Hocus Pocus...). 827ec27edc
