Langdon is then driven to Saunière's apartment on the quai du Mont-Blanc. In a conference room on the top floor, he meets the police and a woman, Saunière's assistant, named Irina Spalko. She tells him that Saunière believed that the conspiracy to which he and Spalko had been exposed was headed by three criminals: the 'Codex', the 'Priory of Sion' and 'the Illuminati'. She then helps him to read the message, written in cipher. After carefully examining the message, Langdon realizes the real meaning of the Vigenère cipher is a passage from Dante's Commedia. He realizes that the murderer is looking for Da Vinci's 'divine secret'—the Codex—which he is convinced is hidden in Saunière's apartment. Irina Spalko then calls the police to tell them that Langdon has found the solution to the murder. The two then leave together. This comment from Langdon, to the police, captures the essence of the book:
In the US, the film was released under the title The Da Vinci Code and was directed by Ron Howard, who did not direct the film adaptation of Angels and Demons, but who did direct the Nim's Island and Splinter Cell sequels.
Langdon and the curator go to Langdon's hotel room and Langdon reveals that he has just learned that he is the Caliph's descendant. Langdon then learns that the curator's name is Jean-Baptiste Chretien, and that his mother was murdered by the Caliph when he was a child. A dead end leads Langdon and Chretien to the Grand Gallery. Chretien finds a page in a book on Leonardo da Vinci that states that the Vitruvian Man is a symbol of the Holy Trinity, and that he has found the shape of the Holy Trinity in the painting. Langdon suggests that Chretien may have created the sequence of letters in the Fibonacci sequence out of order to lead him to the correct sequence.
The world is facing a watershed moment when it comes to climate action. A formal agreement between the U.S. and China on the Paris Agreement will hopefully increase momentum on climate action by increasing the likelihood of a successful international agreement at the UN Climate Change Conference in Glasgow later this year. The decisions made in Glasgow will have a major impact on the future of our planet.
Only if we work together can we build a future that is both prosperous and environmentally sustainable. It is time for everyone to get involved. Simply change your ways and be part of the change.
In short, every human being and every human organization strives to keep things in a normal state. This is the basic principle of any social organization. And, yes, this is in the same scope as the human body and the earth. And most importantly, we must do so in order to be able to work in a normal and meaningful way. 827ec27edc
